James joined SV in 2018 and heads up all European finance operations as CFO (UK). He focuses on providing the London-based team with support for their investments in the six diversified SVLS Funds, the Dementia Discovery Fund, and SV7 Impact Medicine Fund.

Prior to SV, James qualified as a Chartered Accountant at RSM (Johannesburg) before relocating back to the UK. He has been specializing in finance and operations in the London investment management industry since 2008 across various sectors.

Outside of SV, James is an avid traveller and all-round sports enthusiast while also providing mentorship to fellow CASS MBA students.
